In December the concert hall of the Student Art Centre of Belgorod Shukhov State Technological University hosted an enchanting annual competitive show program "Student of the Year 2014"

At the end of November preparatory faculty for foreign citizens held a traditional annual event - the festival of national cultures. The Festival is a unique journey into the different corners of our planet, the opportunity to learn more about the people inhabiting it.

On November 21 the first International contest-festival of young composers "This wonderful world" took place and was attended by contestants from North Ossetia, Angola, Nigeria and various Russian cities. Students of Belgorod Shukhov State technological university could not stand aside from this important cultural event. Foreign nationals, who are studying at the university, took the initiative and decided to present their creations.

On October 23 a delegation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan visited Belgorod state technological university named after V.G. Shukhov, which included the Deputy Secretary General for Parliamentary and Legislative Affairs of the Upper House of the National Assembly, Associate Professor Shah Sultan Akifi and Policy Advisor of UN Mission, Dr. Amin Mohammad Zaman.

On October 23 an official, responsible for financial matters in the work with the students of the Embassy of the Republic of Angola in Russia Mr. Daniel Pedro Samba paid an visit to Belgorod State Technological university named after V.G. Shukhov.

Head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, PhD Margarita V. Perkova returned from Baku, where from 16 to 19 October an international architectural design contest was held.

On October 16, representatives of an agricultural department of the University of Florence, Paolo Coppi and a representative of CosInd company in Milan Marco Mattiolo during a business visit to Belgorod Region visited Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov.

An exhibition of Egyptian artist and sculptor, a professor of Cairo University, Cultural Attaché of Egypt Republic Usama El-Serwy was open at the small hall of the museum and exhibition complex of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.

As part of the University anniversary celebration the foreign guests of the university took part in planting trees on the "Alley of Friendship" of the BSTU.

Every year friendships between BSTU. V.G. Shukhov and Hulunbuirskogo University become stronger.
