BSTU students from Turkmenistan took part in the opening ceremony of the monumemt commemorating the heroes from Turkmenistan, who died in Kursk battle
On May 31, 20 students of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov came on a memorial estate dedicated to Kursk battle heroes to give a tribute to Turkmenistan citizens, who died in the battle during World War II. They attended a opening ceremony of the memorial to Turkmen soldiers. Minister Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation Halnazar Agakhanov and Belgorod oblast governor Evgeny Savchenko took part in the ceremony.
Visit of the delegation from Iraq
On May 30 Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G Shukhov received a delegation from Iraq, which included 30 representatives of Teachers Association of Iraq. The delegation is interested in the work experience in the field of education in Russia, and particularly, in Belgorod. The visit to Belgorodia will last till June 21 and will include: international education workshop, meeting with the Department of Education, Culture and Youth Policy of the Belgorod oblast, and school principals in Belgorod, the discussion of issues of professional self-determination of young people, visiting urban and rural schools , universities in Belgorod oblast.
Strengthening the Cooperation
On May 26, Mrs. Ruth Da Conceicao Da Silva, the Head of the Students Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Angola came on a visit to BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. The aim of her visit was strengthening the cooperation with our university, training over 40 students from Angola. Today, the government of Angola, being aware of high level specialists training at BSTU plans to extend the number of their students as Angola experiences an urgent need for engineers.

The workshop took place at the department of cement and composite materials technology with the participation of the delegation representing KHD Humboldt Wedag, a German company. Among the participants of the workshop were representatives of 12 major enterprises working in cement and mining industry from Belgorod oblast, Sybirea and Moscow oblast. In the course of the above a two-days workshop at BSTU, the participants regarded the issues of maintenance and putting into operation of “Roller-press” a new grinding unit.
The visit of a Delegation from Ukraine
On May 20 Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov received a delegation from the town of Vyshgorod (Ukraine), who came to our university for sharing experience. The representatives were Y.V. Senyuk, academician of the Ukrainian Academy of science and V.N. Fedosenko, director of “Technoporoject” (research and production facility). The visitors marked high level of our university and shared their experience in innovations area
Our Strength is in Unity
The closing ceremony of the festival, which included giving out awards and a concert became the culminating point of the festival “The Earth is our home”. The festival has become a wonderful unforgettable holiday of friendship between the peoples. Events like this contribute to the development of mutual understanding between the nations.
Exhibition of National Cultures
As part of the international festival "The Earth is Our Home " an exhibition of national cultures took place in a disco hall of the Students Art Palace on May 19. The event brought together BSTU students from 54 countries: Angola, Kuwait, Ghana, Cambodia, Albania, Nigeria, etc.
An Opening Ceremony of the International Festival of Foreign Students
On May 19, 2011 an opening ceremony became the first step for an international festival of foreign students " The Earth is Our Home ". The opening ceremony was followed by research and practical conference "The contribution of the youth into the scientific and technical progress ". The organizers of the conference presented three topics: "The challenges of globalization in the world ", "Youth and scientific and technical progress", "Youth Subcultures".
BSTU Staff Members Participating in the French Linguistic Club Gave a Presentation about Their Internship Training in South Africa
April and May proved extremely exciting for French Club members. One of the Friday meetings was dedicated to the trip to South Africa.
Victory Day
According to the tradition, foreign students of Belgrod State Shukhov Technological University get together to visit the places, where the former Soviet Union soldiers were fighting against fascist invaders. On May 9 young people from different countries took a trip to the memorial estate
