Volleyball competitions started in the framework of Universiade of universities
On June 29, in the sports complex of the basic university of the region, solemn opening of sports competitions in volleyball among women's teams was held in the framework of the VI All-Russian Summer Universiade. 16 teams from different parts of Russia: from Bashkortostan and to the Primorsky Territory will take part in them.

The head of the student construction brigade of the flagship university of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, Oleg Gorshkov was among the awardees.
Governor of the region Evgeny Savchenko presented a Letter of Gratitude from the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin for his active participation in the work on the preparation and conduct of presidential elections in the country.
It should be noted that in December 2017, Oleg Gorshkov became a member of the initiative group for the nomination of President Vladimir Putin, where he continued to work during the election campaign.
