For the better understanding of the Russian Language, one needs to learn about Russian culture, traditions. That’s why the staff of the Department of Foundation Studies also focuses on the extracurricular work with international students.
The teachers are tutors and supervisors of international students. They teach the Russian Language, help students in their cultural and social adaptation, organize events.
International students are involved in social, cultural and sports life of University.
Usually informational adaptation events are organized in university, namely, meetings with law enforcement or immigration service officials, guided tours in campus (visiting university museum, exhibition complex, sports facilities), trips around the city.
Our students like various social and cultural adaptation events. They can take part in:
- tours to museums, philharmonic hall, theatres, art galleries of the city, natural parks and landmarks of the region;
- excursions to the educational institutions of the city;
- events dedicated to national holidays around the world;
- organization of festivals or exhibitions of national cultures.
Russian students of BSTU and other universities of the city have the opportunity to learn about the culture and traditions of the other nations by visiting interesting and bright exhibitions organized by international students of our Department of Foundation Studies.
All this helps young people to get to know each other better.
