Memorandum of cooperation with Sudan

Currently  interaction Belgorod Shukhov State Technological University with foreign states is coming up to a new level. The recent visit of the delegation of the Republic of Sudan was represented by His Excellency Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Russia Nadir Yusif  Eltayeb Babiker, Rector of the University of Khartoum, Professor Suleiman Ahmed Mohammed, as well as the Consul of the Republic of Sudan to the Russian Federation -Dr. Sami Aburadzha has clearly demonstrated the credibility of strengthening and expanding the geography of cooperation our University in the world educational space.

 

                                                                                     

Foreign guests arrived to get acquainted with the university and its possibilities in terms of further joint cooperation in the field of education and science.

                  

It is known that from year to year Sudan increases the pace of industrial and agricultural production, being actively engaged in construction of residential and social facilities, improving the infrastructure of cities and other spaces of residence, and is therefore in need of training highly qualified specialists for many sectors of the economy. One of the oldest and most successful schools of  Sudan is Khartoum University, which was founded in 1903. Khartoum University has played a leading role in scientific research, construction, politics and art. It is also extremely important for us to all these areas and strong mutually beneficial contacts in these areas.

 

     

 

      

           

     In addition, our university has a successfully functioning Preparatory Faculty for foreign citizens, where young people from Sudan could learn the Russian language. After the foundation course foreign students continue their studies at any of the numerous fields of training carried out by the university. Thus, this developing East African country can receive the highly sought-after professionals - architects, engineers, road specialists, power engineers, machine engineers, economists and many other branches of industry of the country.

Discussion of issues of bilateral cooperation were the main topic of the round table session with the guests of honor. In addition, it was noted that such cooperation would be a good continuation of the Russian-Sudanese friendship for many years to come, as was in the recent past, when Russian and Sudanese  experts side by side were building houses, roads, developed housing industry, and so on.

The logical conclusion of the negotiations was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with the University of Khartoum incorporating academic academic exchange. Also the honored guests intend to propose a project aimed at closer relationship between Khartoum and Belgorod, giving them the status of twin cities.

In conclusion, His Excellency Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Russia Nadir Yusif  Eltayeb Babiker  expressed his gratitude to the university for the warm reception and noted the good and optimistic prospects for the planned cooperation: "For us it is a- a great honor to sign the Memorandum. The development of relations with the Sudan is going to be the gateway from Africa to Russia. "
