The Department of Informatization and Communications is a structural department of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. The department carries out work to create a unified information and communication environment for the university, and also carries out tasks aimed to address the current and strategic issues of information service and management:
- external channels INTERNET,
- computer local area networks,
- telephone networks,
- technological networks for the dispatching and monitoring of engineering systems with power facilities,
- network of sound systems,
- television networks,
- networks for the functioning of security and fire alarm systems and access control systems.
The computer design and small-circulation printing studio of the Informatization and Communications Department renders a number of services on a reimbursable basis, according to the approved price list.
- Assistance in design of educational materials, development of illustrations, layout of drawings and projects;
- Development of presentations, slide shows for accompanying performances and events;
- Development of original layouts of printed matter;
- Printing of various materials on sheet and roll media in the format from A6 to A0 +;
- Quick photo on documents;
- Wide-format printing of high quality, a sticker on the tablets (large-scale architectural projects);
- Manufacturing of light boxes;
- Production of wall illustrative materials in the framework of «Nelson»;
- Manufacturing of modular paintings;
- Personalization of souvenirs. Making souvenirs of corporate subjects, including on magnetic media;
- Access to the University Corporate Computer Network resources, network services and Internet resources;
