TTI chairs have permanent contacts with more than 50 enterprises of the transport and road complex - these are the cement plants of the city. Belgorod, Stary Oskol, Voskresensk, Bryansk; Lebedinsky and Stoilensky mining concentrators; OJSC "Transyuzhstroy - Mechanized Column - 105"; Shebekinsky Machine Building Plant; FGU Road Operational Enterprise No. 96; OJSC "Stroimaterialy"; OGKU "Administration of road economy and transport of the Belgorod region"; OGUP "Belgorodoblproekt"; LLC "Beldorstroy"; OOO "Beldorproekt"; LLC Avtodorstroy-Contractor; leading dealer centers and automobile transport services in Belgorod and regions; OOO TC "Ekotrans"; NP "Assistance to the activities of emergency commissioners"; Project Institute "Centrogiproruda"; MBU "Management Belgorodobladostroystvo", etc.
The annual amount of funding for scientific research on grants, scientific and technical programs and contracts with enterprises is constantly over 6 million rubles annually.
Students perform scientific research at the departments under the guidance of leading teachers. Annually, the institute conducts a student scientific conference with the participation of 200-250 students of various courses. The best students of the Institute take part in All-Russian and International scientific conferences, competitions of scientific works, such as: "Federal and Regional Policy in Science and Education", "Higher School Scientific Research in Priority Areas of Science and Technology", "Innovative Higher School Activities" All-Russia competition of scientific and technical creativity of youth "NTTM", All-Russia competition of author's youth projects "My country is My Russia", Regional competition "UMNIK" (Participant of youth scientific innovation Competition for Grants of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Belgorod Region: Vladimir Shukhov, Molodost Belgorodchiny Since 2004 more than 40 students have become winners and prize-winners of various competitions and programs.
Institute students are regular participants and winners of the All-Russian competitions in the specialty and all-Russian contests graduation projects (works), which traditionally become prize-winners.
Since the existence of the TTI since 2004, 67 Doctoral theses have been defended. Currently, the Institute includes more than 30 graduate students.
Teaching staff of the Institute actively participate in scientific conferences and publish the results of their research. Over the years of the institute's existence more than 60 monographs and over 1200 scientific articles have been published.
