Institute of power engineering, information technologies and management systems provides training for highly qualified engineering personnel in the field of energy, design and operation of modern automatic and automated control and communication systems, software and computer network administration in industry and energy.
Students of the Institute study mathematical analysis and physics, discrete and computational mathematics, theory of algorithms and technology of standard development. The list of disciplines that learners encompass includes algorithmic languages and programming, the organization of computer networks and telecommunications, electric power and electricity, heat engineering and electric drive.
Objectives:
- Development and implementation of automation systems for technological and electric power processes,
- Surveys of power systems,
- Improving the efficiency of energy equipment in industry and housing and communal services.
The departments have educational and methodical classrooms, computer rooms, electrical laboratory, wind-solar power station, training ground simulating a regional substation. Part of the laboratory and practical training students do on modern operating equipment at the branch of enterprise «MRSK-Center» - «Belgorodenergo».
The student can choose any education program: bachelor's and master's degrees (4 and 6 years) or become a graduate engineer (5 years). Having graduated from the engineering or master's degree, the graduate has the opportunity to continue his education in graduate school.
