Education
In 2017, accreditation was received by:
- 3 new BA courses: 19.03.01 "Biotechnology", 35.03.02 "Technology of logging and wood-processing industries", 41.03.06 "Public Policy and Social Sciences";
- MA course 38.04.10 "Housing and communal infrastructure";
- Program 18.05.02 "Chemical technology of modern energy materials".
Program "Information Security."
In 2017, 74 students of the university were awarded scholarships, 15 of them got a national presidential scholarship. 24 university students, studying in the programs of the priority areas of modernization and technological development of the Russian economy gained a scholarship of the Government of the Russian Federation.
The IV stage of the experiment on the independent assessment of students knowledge, conducted by Rosobrnadzor in the summer examination session of the 2016/2017 academic year, was organized and successfully conducted.
Over the past year, 439 university faculty members have been trained in 13 programs of professional development.
The competitions took place at the university:
- Open international student Internet Academic Competition in disciplines (Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Resistance of Materials, Theoretical Mechanics, Ecology, Economics, History of Russia). 483 university students took part in them;
- VIII Russian (with international participation) student interdisciplinary Internet Academic Competition with innovation direction "Information technology in complex systems." 127 people took part.
In the final round, students of BSTU took the 1st and the 2nd places in "History of Russia"; the third place in "Informatics", "Ecology" and "Economics."
In 2017, 324 titles of academic literature were published.
