At the invitation of the Bishop of Vranjsky, His Eminence archbishop Pakhomiya, students of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, students and those who do internship in Nis, as well as official representatives of the university, who arrived in Serbia to organize and conduct the Russian-Serbian humanitarian event «Brotherly Nis from Belgorod», took part in the opening of the Russian corner in the Vranje gymnasium.

BSTU Student construction team «Belogorye» became the winner in the All-Russian competition for the right to participate in the All-Russian student construction «Peaceful Atom».

A solemn ceremony of the laureates awarding of the regional contest «Engineer of the Year – 2017» and the winners of the «UMNIK» program of the assistance innovations fund was held.

The elimination round of the contest «Spaghetti builder» was held at the flagship regional university, where schoolchildren of the senior classes of the Belgorod schools, lyceums, gymnasiums, as well as students of the Institute of Civil Engineering took part. The director of the Institute of Civil Engineering Valery Uvarov became the honorary guest of the competition.

The first graduation ceremony of the Center for Advanced Training of the university staff for the spring semester took place at the flagship university.

A traditional meeting of the Student Coordination Council of the Central Federal District was held at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.

A Russian-Serbian humanitarian evening «Brotherly Nish from Belgorod» was held in the Serbian city of Nish. The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the cancer treatment. The Institute of Serbian Language and Communications of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov and the Serbian youth non-profit organization «Initiative of Communication and Cooperation «IKS» were the organizers of the event.

The second regional forum «TECHNOLOGY OF GOOD» was held at the flagship regional university. The regional school assets and voluntary organizations gathered at the university.

The governor of the Belgorod region Yevgeny Savchenko presented more than 60 state and regional awards at the meeting of the Belgorod Regional Duma.

The open World Cup on breakdance «White wolf battle-2018» was held in Minsk (Republic of Belarus) on the large platform «Minsk-arena». The total number of participants was up to 300 people. The best DJs and MCs from 4 countries of the world were invited.
