Rector of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov met with Dr. Ahed Asslan. He is an owner of the Al-Munir private Syrian school, and heads its management council. The school is located in Latakia. Syrian delegation is a part of summer language courses of the flagship university.

At the end of the academic year, rating Universities for the future elite. Forbes Top 100 Russian Universities” was published”. Flagship university is part of this rating. The publication has set itself the task of not only assessing the quality of Russian education, but also finding out which universities produce specialists with entrepreneurial skills who can later join the Forbes list or become part of the Russian political elite.

Department of Construction and Municipal Economy of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov have been studying in English for six years foreign undergraduate students in the direction of “Construction” in the “Industrial and Civil Construction” profile and for two years in the same direction in the “Theory and Design of Buildings and Structures” profile.

The competition for scholarships and grants of the President of the Russian Federation to young scientists and graduate students engaged in advanced research and development in priority areas of the modernization of the Russian economy, started in late March. The results of the Grant Council were summed up only now - among the winners of five young scientists from the flagship university – BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.

At BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov began graduation time. Examinations are passed, diploma works are protected. One of the first diplomas of higher education was received by students of the department of mechanical equipment of the Institute of technological equipment and mechanical engineering.

A delegation from Shandong Vocational University of Foreign Languages (China) visited BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov to strengthen and expand cooperation between universities.

Valery Lesovik, corresponding member RAACS, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Building Materials, Products and Structures of the BSTU named after. V.G. Shukhov became chairman of the commission for the protection of research qualifications of graduate students at the North-Eastern Federal university named after M.K. Ammosov.

The final presentations of the projects of the Cup of Young Innovators of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov took part at our university. Up to the last stage of the competition reached 24 young people, 11 of which are technical, and 13 - on the social sphere.

The exhibition of Orthodox icons by Sanya Miladinovic (Soko-Banya, Serbia) opened in the Rodina exhibition hall. The cultural event was organized by the Institute of the Serbian Language and Communications of the BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov and the Russian-Serb Dialogue Center for International Cooperation.

The meeting took place within the framework of a workshop on the establishment of a research and education center in the region.
