The XIV International Summer School of Economics completed its work at the Faculty of Economics of the State University in Niš (Serbia). BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov participates in this largest international youth forum traditionally for 11 years. This year, a team of students of the specialties “Economic security”, “Strategic management” and “Examination and management of real estate” adequately presented the university and the Belgorod region.

Head of the Serbian Language and Communications Institute of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov Victoria Ryapuhina was awarded an award at the State University of Pristina (temporary location in Kosovska Mitrovica), awarded annually for her outstanding contribution to the development of international cooperation and academic interaction.

The department for work with foreign students of the Center for international education and cooperation of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov held an extended meeting of the council of community.

At the department of building materials science, products and structures of the flagship university, a 3D construction printer was commissioned. With its help, young scientists of the university will conduct research.

The career guidance meeting for students of the Preparatory Faculty for Foreigners was held at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.

It was created for the all-round development of cooperation between BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov and the University Hassan I (Settat, Morocco).

Every year, the Friendship Cup, a mini-football tournament among foreign students, is held at the regional university. It is organized by the department for work with foreign students of the Center international educational and cooperation .

The competition for a scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation for young scientists and graduate students engaged in advanced research and development in priority areas of the modernization of the Russian economy, started in late March. The results of the Grant Council were summed up only now - among the winners of five young scientists from the supporting university – BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.

Department of Real Estate Expertise and Management of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov continues to cooperate with leading European universities in the framework of short-term research and production internships under the program of the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE).

The end of the school year is the time to protect graduation qualification works of specialists, bachelors and masters. This year, 24% of graduates of the regional university received red diplomas, and about half of the students defended their final qualifying works as “excellent”. One of such works is the project of reconstruction of educational building №4.
