Winner of a personal scholarship named after Zh.I. Alferova became Victoria Nelyubova, Associate Professor of the Department of Materials Science and Technology of Materials, Deputy Director of the Innovative Project Office of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.

For many years, the flagship university has been developing effective autoclave-hardened building materials in collaboration with leading companies in the region's industry. This is due to the fact that the Belgorod Region is one of the leaders in terms of production and consumption of autoclave hardened piece materials.

On July 19, 2020, on the main square of the regional flagship university, the cadets of the military training center named after Hero of the Soviet Union, General of the Army Nikolai Fedorovich Vatutin took the oath of allegiance. Among the honored guests of the ceremony were present: Dudko Oleg Anatolyevich, military commissar of Belgorod; Likhachev Vladimir Alexandrovich, military commissar of the Belgorod district of the Belgorod region.

The International Handball Week is almost finished and it is dedicated to the anniversary of the founding of the International Handball Federation, is nearing. On the site for beach sports BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov hosted a beach handball master class for pupils of sports schools. It was held by the repeated winners of the European Champions Cup in Beach Handball Igor Neklyudov and Konstantin Vinokur.

Work is actively underway to select students who have expressed a desire to study at the military training center named after Hero of the Soviet Union, General of the Army N.F. Vatutin at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. Training takes place under the military training programs for reserve officers and sergeants.

Humanity is on the verge of a very difficult stage in its development. The reserves of natural resources are depleted, the environment is polluted, the natural connection between man and nature is lost, aesthetic values ​​are lost, the economic and political struggle intensifies. Negative environmental conditions are increasingly hitting the dynamics of human life, causing serious damage to his health. In this regard, the main task of scientists around the world is to create comfortable conditions for human existence on planet Earth.

Now it is July and this means that the time has come to present the long-awaited diplomas of higher education. This year, all the ceremonies were held on the street: at the main fountain of the Belgorod State Technical University, near the monument to Vladimir Grigoryevich Shukhov, at the site near the monument of science and in the native courtyards of the educational buildings.

A new place has now appeared in the village of Prelestny, Prokhorovsky District, where residents can pay tribute to each soldier and home front worker who sacrificed himself during the years of World War II. Near the mass grave of Soviet soldiers on July 12, 2020, the grand opening of the Memorial Crossroads memorial, developed by a student of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov Jennifer Letkemann.

For many years, the Community Council has been uniting young people who are actively manifesting themselves in the public life of the university and in solving all emerging social problems. Last week, a meeting of the Council among foreign students took place, at which many issues of concern to both students and the leadership of the university were considered.

On the July 9, 2020 a conference of workers and students of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov was held. The conference was attended by 149 delegates from 167 declared (18 people were absent for a good reason).
