On the 25th of June, the meeting of the academic council of the university took place. At the beginning of the meeting, Vice-Rector for Security Vladimir Borisovsky celebrated the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, provided statistical data and reviewed the work of students participating in the regional poster contest “I am against drugs”. After, the rector of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, Sergey Glagolev called on everyone to fulfill their civic duty and vote for amendments to the constitution of the Russian Federation.

Six years ago, the Department of Construction and Urban Economics accepted the first Chinese students to study in the author’s course in special subjects in the field of “Construction” using individual educational methods as part of an international student exchange program.

Every year on the 26th of June the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is celebrated.

Today is the anniversary of the president of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, Chairman of the Council of Rectors of the Belgorod Region -Anatoly Mitrofanovich Gridchin.

For nearly a year, the flagship university has been working on the development and implementation of a technology for reducing emissions at pig farms in the Belgorod Region agro-industrial complex, pollutants into the atmosphere with the treatment and disposal of manure and technological effluents using bioremediation methods.

Over the years, international activity has been actively developing at the Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov. One of its primary tasks is to enrich the education system with the values of world culture and the experience of foreign universities, as well as in the university’s active work in the international educational space.

On the 5th of June, 2020 in the framework of the project "BSTU and I" an online meeting of applicants with the rector of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov Sergey Glagolev, project curators and prominent university graduates - the head of the Department of digital development of the Belgorod region Yevgeny Miroshnikov, director of the Factory of Information Technologies LLC Fedor Zhernov and President of the Alumni Association of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov by Sergey Shevchenko.

An online job fair is a modern format of university events that allows an unlimited number of students and graduates in need of employment to participate. In the current conditions of the rapid transition of universities to a digital work format, the scientific and methodological center for professional adaptation and employment of specialists of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov also translated work with students, graduates and employers into electronic format.

Gypsum-containing (GCW) wastes are widespread in the territory of the Russian Federation and a number of other states. The accumulated reserves of this technogenic raw materials, according to various estimates, amount to 5-7 billion tons. Currently, there are more than 50 types of GCW that have been studied by various scientific groups.

Another month of the social project “Makers versus COVID-19 / Belgorod” ended, bringing together many people who are ready to help physicians with the help of high technology in the current epidemiological situation. In the Belgorod region, thirteen makers are already active in the production of antiviral protective agents, who have already been able to help more than two thousand doctors.
