The final day of the congress on applied mineralogy began with the seminar "Applied mineralogy in the study of industrial minerals (the experience of the Commission of the Russian Mineralogical Society for Technological Mineralogy)".

The opening ceremony of the open air took place on September 25 at the territory of the flagship university of the region. The central theme is “Outstanding Scientists and Engineers of the World”. Among the participants of the event are professors, sculptors and architects: Osam El Servi (Egypt), Issa Dib (Syria), Hatim Hamid (Egypt), Bassam Ibrahim Susnak (Syria), Almadhun Khalil (Bahrain).

Conference on Applied Mineralogy. Six scientists presented the results of their research and development.

On the 24 th of September BSTU named after Shukhov celebrated the 65th anniversary of the founding of the university.

The second day of the 14th International Congress on Applied Mineralogy (ICAM-2019) began with a plenary session at which domestic and foreign scientists presented their reports.

The opening ceremony of ICAM-2019 was held on September 23 at the high technology center of the flagship university. There are more than 400 scientists participants and specialists in the field of applied mineralogy from 18 countries. Congress organizers: Ministry of Education and Science, Government of the Belgorod Region, BSTU. V.G. Shukhov, RAS, RAASN, IMA, RMO, Institute of Geology, Komi Scientific Center, Ural Branch of RAS. Among the co-organizers is the metallurgical holding Metalloinvest.

On 17th of September, the second forum of public diplomacy “The role of graduates in the development of business partnership” was opened on the basis of the flagshigship university of the region. The event was attended by ambassadors, diplomats, businessmen and professors from 30 countries of the world, heads of the largest Russian universities, representatives of the region’s authorities and business, employees and teachers of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.

Head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov Margarita Perkova became the first doctor of architecture in the Belgorod region.

On September 12, the grand opening of the region’s first training and resource center for specialists in the construction industry on the basis of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.

At the BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov started the author's course of lectures and master classes for students, undergraduates, graduate students and university employees from a German expert in the field of technology and application of concrete and cement, Professor Jürgen Eknik.
