Preparatory faculty for foreign citizens is doing a great job aimed at developing tolerance among young people. The students in Belgorod are involved in sports, cultural and social events, during which they will learn a lot about the country where they will live and learn. This is not the first time students of the preparatory faculty for foreign citizens attend kindergartens and orphanages. This time, the citizens of Zambia, Iraq and Oman visited kindergarten number 5.

Foreign citizens studying at the preparatory faculty of foreign students at BSTU took part in a qualifying round of the annual competition "Hello, we are looking for talent." Despite the fact that students have lived in Russia for only 1.5 months, they were able to sing songs in Russian.

A business trip of a group of BSTU scientists, headed by the rector of the University, Ph.D, Professor S. Glagolev to Germany and several other European countries has been completed. The purpose of the visit was the establishment of contacts for joint action in the activities within the Framework Programme of the European Union for funding research and development, which have been successfully implemented in most EU countries since 1984. The delegation visited a number of the largest universities in Germany and the Netherlands, met with management located in Dusseldorf International Academy of Management and Technology «INTAMT», General Director of «LIMO»

On November 15 Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov, held a traditional annual contest "Student of the Year - 2012", dedicated to the International Day of Students. This year's event, prepared by the staff and creative teams of the Students’ Art Centre, was particularly striking and memorable. Nine of the best students’ representatives judged by ladies, representatives of local and university youth organizations, a drama theater actress E.V. Tkacheva, and, of course, the chairman of the BSTU Joint Trade Union Committee, Ph.D., Professor. I.P. Avilova.

Angola remained a Portuguese colony from the 16th century until 1975, when independence of the country was declared: November 11 since then is celebrated as a national holiday. BSTU has about 60 students – citizens of Angola. Away from home the young Africans preserve and respect the traditions of their country. And on this day of celebration they gave us a bright and colorful festival.

The Students Art Centre of Balgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov hosted an annual song festival. Klive Piri (Zambia), Angie Amahoru (Indonesia) tried their best to distinguish themselves among experienced contestants.

On November 9 a students soccer tournament took place. Among the participants were the teams of BSTU students, Zambia, Nigeria and Angola. The Angolan team won the winners’ cup and the medals

Legal knowledge was the subject of the committee meeting on crime prevention held atn BSTU in early November. The event was attended by the Deputy Directors of Institutes for educational work, the activists of the number of foreign students studying at BSTU.

"What is good, what is bad?" - This name was given to a meeting to introduce students of the preparatory faculty for foreign citizens to the rules of living in a dormitory and behavior at the University.
