Today in Moscow, at the site of the Expocentre, the exhibition «Open Innovations Expo 2012" has started, featuring the innovative technological solutions applied. This is Russia's first international exhibition of high-tech. With its unique concept that brings developers of innovative products and technologies, business technology sector, the investment community and development institutions, scientists and politicians from around the world, the event is planned to take its place in the international schedule, along with the global exhibition brands. Belgorod Shukhov State Technological University became a participant of the exhibition. Innovative design "technology" presented in the booth are dedicated to the achievements of Belgorod region.

From 12 to 15 September 2012 the Institute of Building Materials named after F.A. Finger (FIB) University Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (Germany) hosted the Eighteenth International Congress on Construction Products (18.ibausil). This is the largest forum held every three years and is an important development in building materials in the world.

On October 13 BSTU was visited by a representative of the Chamber of Commerce of Northern France, Consultant for International Development CCI International Nord de France Renata Plume.

This day Zambian students gathered to celebrate their national holiday at the central entrance of the main academic building of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. More than 40 Zambian students are being trained at the University today. The celebration began with the Zambian national dances. National music created the atmosphere of the far-away mysterious African country. Young people organized an exciting exhibition, where they presented household items, gifts, national currency - Kwacha.

Last summer, a large group of students, post-graduates and faculty staff members of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov visited the World Economic Forum, which was held in the town of Soko Banya (Serbia).

The visit of the Delegation of the Sultanate of Oman will last for three days, and during that time, guests from Oman can fully explore the city of Belgorod, its glorious history, tourist attractions, as well as the achievements of recent times. Representatives of the Sultanate plan to join the community of the twin cities of Belgorod, the number of which are now more than ten. The schedule of the visit includes visiting the Institute of Culturre and Art, in which young Omanis are also being trained. The representatives of the embassy will also meet those who study at BSTU and Belgorod State University.

On October 4 BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov was visited by the delegation of Makerere University (Uganda). Among the 14 leading scholars and professors of the university was a Nobel Laureate, Professor Tom Otiti.
