Serbian students of BSTU named after Shukhov at the festival of dumplings

This weekend, the sounds of accordion, Russian folk songs and ditties were pouring through the center of Belgorod from the very morning, and from all sides artists in costumes, singers and musicians invited the audience to their round dances. This year, for the first time, they decided to cook dumplings according to recipes from different regions of Russia, and more than 60,000 dumplings prepared in advance were sent to the Tula and Moscow regions, as well as to Soldier's Halt. This is how the VI festival of dumplings was held, in which our Serbian delegation also took part. The Shukhovites danced Serbian folk dances, sang songs, and also presented their traditional dish “proya” at the festival, one of the symbols of Serbian cuisine. It is made from cornmeal and served with kaymak (cheese) or sausages. The guys not only charged the guests with the Balkan atmosphere, but also joined the Russian traditions themselves: they danced round dances, played trickle and sang ditties, and, of course, they were able to try the whitest dumplings, the recipe of which was specially developed by the head of the family restaurant-cheese factory "From chese to wine" Larisa Batmanova.
