SHUKHOV RACING TEAM — silver medalist of the Formula Student Russia — 2022
SHUKHOV RACING TEAM took part in the engineering and technical competitions Formula Student Russia - 2022 and the League of Student Technical Sports "Formula Masters", which were held on the last summer weekend in Moscow. On the first competitive day, the technical inspection worked, the teams competed in static disciplines. On the site "Formula-Masters" students of BSTU. V. G. Shukhova acted as mechanics: they prepared a Formula 3 car for the competition, pasted the symbols of the university, checked all the systems.
The second and third days traditionally became the most spectacular. As part of the Formula Student Russia - 2022 competition, dynamic disciplines were held: acceleration, "Eight", autocross, endurance race. This year, a serious struggle has unfolded between the teams in each discipline. The gap between the contenders for victory could be either tens of seconds or hundredths. A distinctive feature of the Formula Student competition is mutual assistance: when the Shukhov team unexpectedly ran out of battery before the autocross and the race, the Togliatti Racing Team shared their equipment.
As a result, SHUKHOV RACING TEAM took second place in the overall standings due to strong results in individual categories: acceleration, autocross, endurance racing - first place, "Eight" and design report - third place. At the competitions of the League of Student Technical Sports "Formula-Masters" due to the departure of the SHUKHOV RACING TEAM pilot from the track, the team could not compete in the competition with the best participants.
But the result was the experience and the opportunity to be a real mechanic of the Formula team directly during the competition.
