Scientists of the region flagship university have developed an anthropomorphic robot

An automated complex has been developed at the flagship university, for performing marking and control operations based on an anthropomorphic robot. It will provide a reduction in labor intensity when receiving pipeline parts.
Nowadays, there are various ways of producing pipe bends. Marking of bends for subsequent cutting and machining, and final control of the dimensions of the finished bend are some of the most time-consuming operations in this production.
All work is done manually, which in turn leads to a decrease in accuracy and an increase in the labor intensity of the process.
When using the existing method, there are the following disadvantages: high labor intensity of marking with manual measuring instruments, low accuracy and control, inconsistency of the worker's working conditions with modern safety standards.

Manual marking of pipe bends

Scientists of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov developed a project that can automate and increase the accuracy of marking, reduce labor intensity, increase work productivity and reduce the level of injuries. Automation will take place through the creation and implementation of an automated complex based on an anthropomorphic robot.

The method for determining the coordinates of the base points of retraction allows for calculation and automated programming of the movement of the working body of an anthropomorphic robot with a tool and for marking out for further machining. An automated complex based on an anthropomorphic robot Students of the Department of Hoisting-and-Transport and Road Machines have been developing a project for a long time, which they presented at the final presentation of the projects of the Cup of Young Innovators of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov last year. Today they already have a title of protection for it - a certificate of registration of know-how No. 20190043 "Anthropomorphic robot", and also within the framework of the project, students became holders of a certificate of the grant competition "CIFRODROM" in the category "Technological breakthrough"
