Professor Margarita Perkova was elected as the chairman of the Union of Architects of Russia
Scientist of the flagship university Margarita Perkova, head. Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, BSTU named after V.G. Shukhova, became the chairman of the Belgorod regional public organization "Union of Architects of Russia".
Under the leadership of Margarita Viktorovna, laureates of the All-Russian competitions of scientific works of the International Association of Building Higher Educational Institutions and the Russian Academy of Architecture and Building Sciences were prepared. In addition, its students are laureates and winners of various international contests for diploma projects in architecture, urban planning and design. Reporting and re-election meeting of the Belgorod regional organization of the public organization "Union of Architects of Russia" was held in the restored concert hall of the Student Palace of Culture of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.
The vice-president of the Union of Architects of Russia Vladimir Bakeev became the guest of honor of the conference, who noted the high level of technical equipment of the flagship university. “The vector for the development of suburbs and low-rise housing construction is undoubtedly one of the topical areas of urban planning. From the point of view of architectural value, the region is of paramount importance, therefore, the advanced structure of the local Union of Architects of Russia must correspond to it, ”stressed Vladimir Pavlovich. Three candidates were approved for the post of chairman of the board of the Belgorod regional public organization "Union of Architects of Russia": M.V. Perkova, M.V. Voronin, E.A. Efimov. All candidates presented their programs aimed at the development of the Union of Architects of Russia. In support of M. Perkova were: Sergey Kiselev, chief architect of Belgorod; Nina Radominova, Director of LLC “Personal Creative Architectural Workshop of Radominova”; Ivan Chechel, Honored Architect of the Russian Federation, Director of Zolotaya Liniya LLC.
All of them noted the high professionalism of Margarita Viktorovna, her great contribution to the development of practice-oriented architectural education, active work on the protection of cultural heritage in the Belgorod region, as well as a systematic approach to work and clarity of the main theses of the candidate's program. “For BSTU im. V.G. Shukhov, communication with practicing architects is very important, since the principle of practice-oriented education of students is at the heart of the architectural institute. Undergoing practical training in workshops, students get the opportunity to see their work in a realized form, which is of great importance in the preparation of creative specialties, ”said Vitaly Pertsev, director of the Institute of Architecture.
