On November 25, 2020, a meeting of the Academic Council of the flagship university of the region was held. It has become a good tradition to open the council with the awarding of letters of thanks and commemorative medals for services to BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. The awards were presented by the rector of the university, professor Sergei Glagolev.
On the agenda during the meeting, many important issues were discussed, including the state of work to ensure integrated security, the results of the activities of student construction teams in the 2019-2020 academic year, competition cases and many others. The Vice-Rector for Security Vladimir Ivanovich Borisovskiy spoke on the first issue “On the state of work to ensure integrated security”. He said that during the spread of the new coronavirus infection, special attention is paid to the protection of public order and access control at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.
“During the year, the security department employees and members of the DND“ Griffin ”, in addition to ensuring the safety of the educational process, carried out law enforcement during 48 cultural events, 55 sports events, 18 Olympiads and 10 All-Russian scientific conferences at the university,” Vladimir said. During the year, the soldiers of the flagship university took part in the construction of three objects of federal significance, and the total volume of work performed amounted to more than 40 million rubles.
“In cultural activities, the fighters of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov also succeeded: they took more than 26 prizes in competitions at the regional and district level and took part in 7 charitable and volunteer events. Also, the staff of the CSO headquarters this year organized 8 events at the regional and district level, ”- Dmitry Danilov highlighted the activities of student construction teams.
Also, important issues were considered regarding the opening of new training profiles, measures to reduce the risk of the spread of a new coronavirus infection and the adoption of the Regulations on the Military Training Center named after Hero of the Soviet Union, General of the Army N.F. Vatutin. During the voting, all items on the agenda were unanimously approved by the members of the Academic Council.
