The Cooperation Boundaries are extending

 

On July 4, French students from the University of Strasbourg and the Graduate School of Marketing 2011  BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. The main purpose of the visit of foreign delegations is to study the Russian language for a month, to familiarize with the Russian culture and customs, as well as to expand cooperation in the area of education between the two countries. It is also important to note that last year was declared as the Year of France in Russia. In this regard, France is implementing programs of cooperation in economic, scientific, cultural and educational spheres.

       

A meeting of the foreign delegation took place today at the University Square, where by the established tradition, the visitors laid flowers to the monument to Vladimir Shukhov, and later had an exciting tour of the university. The excursion for the French guests was conducted by the first vice chancellor of the University, Professor N.A Shapovalov, deputy vice chancellor for cultural and educational activities, Professor O. V. Puchka, the dean of the preparatory faculty for foreign students, Associate Professor E.N Legochkina. The guests learned about the history and traditions of our university with interest, visited the Student's Art Centre.
The excursion was followed by a warm reception of the French delegation by the University Chancellor, Professor S.N Glagolev. Sergey Nikolaevich thanked the guests for their our choice in favor of our university and said the following:

  

- We are keeping ties with the French party in the field of education, we hope that your stay in our university is going to be exciting and beneficial to your general outlook. I should note that you are quite a large group for our university. Looking at you, young people, who came to us from France, I remember my university years. At that time many international students shared a room in the dormitory with the Russian students. This always gave a positive result, especially in mastering the Russian language.

  

     At the end of the reception the University Chancellor, Professor S.N. Glagolev gave presents to the French guests.

    Having watched a film about the university the French students passed to tests to assess a level of their skills in Russian.
