The modern world economy is inextricably linked with new technologies, and who, if not graduates of technical universities, are destined to be the elite of our country. Indeed, it is simply impossible to achieve breakthrough results in Russia without the knowledge of graduates of engineering universities. Therefore, every year more and more new technical specialties are opened and the demand among employers for “graduate technicians” is growing. Today, graduates of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov design modern airports, sports arenas, bridges, skyscrapers, create nuclear submarines, launch nuclear reactors in power plants, and participate in the development of space and a number of other sectors of the Russian economy and dozens of countries. The share of employment of university graduates according to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation is 75–80% (one of the highest rates in Chernozem regions). Today, large employers of the region for graduates of a basic university are ZhBK-1 Group of Companies, Belenergomash-BZEM LLC, EFKO Group of Companies, Lebedinsky GOK, Stoilensky GOK, a number of banks (Sberbank, VTB, etc. .), as well as other enterprises in the region.
