The final stage of the regional contest Energy and Man took place at the BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov
On the 30th of November 3, the regional stage of the competition for electrical safety and energy efficiency “Energy and Man” for the students of general educational institutions of the Belgorod Region took place at the Institute of Energy, Information Technologies and Control Systems of the flagship university. Their parents came to support the guys, who were with them during the public defense of their own projects.
With words of greeting to the young talents of the region and their parents, the director of the Institute of Energy, Information Technologies and Control Systems, Alexander Belousov, spoke: “In just five years, many of you will begin to think about entering a university and choosing a future specialty. And then it becomes clear that many professions are already a thing of the past or transformed into new, improved activities. Therefore, it is very important not only not to miss this moment of choice, but also to give your children the support that you are providing now, being here - next to them. ”
Pupils from 14 districts prepared more than 50 works in two areas: theoretical or practical work. So future engineers presented research projects, models, models, products, circuits and much more. However, in the competition on electrical safety and energy efficiency, you need both to develop your own projects and conduct more than one study, and protect them in front of the jury and your colleagues.
A competent jury composed of university teachers and professional power engineers listened to the presentations of young engineers and even discussed the possibilities of finalizing and improving their work. After all, the regional competition is aimed at identifying and encouraging gifted children, as well as at increasing their motivation for subsequent training in engineering programs.
Such motivation for future students BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov will gain additional points for participating and winning the contest "Energy and Man."
