University representatives at the environmental conference discussed issues of cooperation with the RAE leadership
The scientists of the flagship university took part in the VI All-Russian Conference on Environmental Education, which was held in Moscow.
A report on the theme “University research activity is an effective means of improving the quality of environmental education” was presented by an assistant professor of glass and ceramics technology at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov - Viktor Onishchuk, head of the regional branch of the REA for the Belgorod Region, and Yuri Rubanov and Yulia Tokach, associate professors of the Department of Industrial Ecology.
The report presented the results of the implementation of research projects of an environmental orientation in the disciplines of training curricula in the areas of "Technosphere Safety", "Environmental Engineering and Water Use" and "Industrial Ecology and the Rational Use of Natural Resources". Teachers also talked about the achievements of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov in creating an energy-efficient system for managing hot water supply using solar collectors, using a "wind energy" installation and introducing an intra-university system for separate collection of solid waste.
The event was also attended by the chairman of the central council of the All-Russian Society for the Protection of Nature and the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation.
During the conference, university scientists discussed reports of representatives of other organizations, and also discussed issues of further interaction with the leadership of the Russian Ecological Academy (REA) and the Non-Governmental Environmental Fund named after V.I. Vernadsky.
We also note that the II All-Russian contest "The Best Ecological Volunteer Squad" was held as part of the conference. In the correspondence round of the competition, students of the environmental team led by the deputy. Director of the center of cultural and educational work, assistant of the Department of Industrial Ecology Mikhail Spirin. They presented a volunteer center BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov and got acquainted with the experience of colleagues.
