IT students in the Digital Breakthrough finals

Four students of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov from the Department of Information Technology qualified for the finals of the All-Russian competition on the development of the digital economy. They are Ruslan Mavlyanov, Anton Strelnikov, Dmitry Shapovalov and Evgeny Alifanova.

At the end of July, students as part of the S.I.P.E. project team participated in the Digital Breakthrough phase of the Course. It met 16 teams from the Belgorod, Kursk, Bryansk and Oryol regions. According to the results of the competition, the expert council and the jury, which included representatives of the giant companies Rosatom, Mail.ru Group, MegaFon and MTS, selected the projects of 11 winning teams.

The competition itself was organized in a hackathon format. For 36 hours the team needed to create a prototype of a digital product. The main idea is to offer technological solutions on topics that correspond to key areas of the country's development.

Students of the IT department presented a draft of a digital system to facilitate the employment of university graduates, to organize multi-level interaction between potential employees, business and the state.

The all-Russian finale of the Digital Breakthrough will be held in late September. Our students will compete with 400 teams from all over the country at the largest federal hackathon. The guys have strong motivation - further professional development and assistance in starting their own technology business.
