Flagship University’s Scientist - Chairman of the NEFU Certification Commission

Valery Lesovik, corresponding member RAACS, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Building Materials, Products and Structures of the BSTU named after. V.G. Shukhov became chairman of the commission for the protection of research qualifications of graduate students at the North-Eastern Federal university named after M.K. Ammosov.

Northeastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov - one of the leading universities in Russia, collaborating with many foreign universities. On its site are major federal events.

Students, undergraduates, graduate students and scientists of the Federal University cooperate with BSTU. V.G. Shukhov: organize joint research, give lectures online and not only.

During the visit, Valery Lesovik met with the rector of the NEFU named after M.K. Ammosova - Eugenia Mikhailova. At the meeting, questions were raised about education, the transition from monodisciplinarity to transdisciplinarity.

Also in NEFU, Valery Stanislavovich gave a series of lectures, both for students, undergraduates and graduate students, and for employees. The topics of the lectures are devoted to the development of nature-like building composites of a new generation, taking into account the provisions of the transdisciplinary scientific direction - “geonics (geomimetics)”.

“The main task of scientists all over the world is the optimization of the“ man-material-habitat ”system. That is, the creation of such materials, in the midst of which we would feel comfortable. While we constantly exist in a stressful situation. A person is surrounded by building materials 80-90% of life. But so far we have learned to protect ourselves only from cold and heat, ”said the professor.

During the lecture, the scientist noted that science is moving to transdisciplinarity. Transdisciplinarity - a way of expanding the scientific worldview, which consists in considering a phenomenon outside the framework of one scientific discipline. According to Valery Lesovik, the transition to transdisciplinary research in science should be accompanied by the development of a new paradigm of educational activities. Today, such approaches are associated with the introduction of new technologies in training that increase the mobility of students: remote access laboratories, webinars, and so on.

The scientist from BSTU also visited the laboratories of the Arctic Innovation Center, the Institute of Geology, the Museum of Mineralogy of the Yakutsk Scientific Center, held consultations of masters, graduate students and applicants.
