The flagship university of the region is the winner of the international Olympiad
BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov became the site for the final round of the International Student Olympiad in the direction of "Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation". 35 students from 14 cities of Russia gathered in the flagship university of the region to fight for the victory.
The annual Olympiad was held at BSTU for the fourth time in order to identify and encourage gifted students, attract students' attention to their chosen profession, and exchange knowledge and experience. Students from different parts of the country, from Simferopol to Yakutsk, participate in the competition.
Tatyana Davydenko, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, congratulated everyone on the opening of the Olympiad. She noted that her status and the number of participants are growing every year. Tatyana Mikhailovna wished the guests a pleasant stay at the university, success in fulfilling assignments and vivid impressions.
At the Olympiad, participants demonstrated their intellectual and creative abilities. The guys completed two types of competitive tasks: they solved profile tasks and were tested. According to the results of the stages, the winners in individual nominations, the top three winners and the strongest Olympiad team were determined.
The best students studying in the direction of “Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation” received their awards at the official closing ceremony of the International Student Olympiad. In the individual championship prizes were distributed as follows:
1st place - Daniel Petrenko (Crimean Federal University. VI Vernadsky);
2nd place - Alexey Melnikov (BSTU named after VG Shukhov);
3rd place - Ksenia Kayurova (Kazan University of Architecture and Civil Engineering).
In the team event, the winner of the Cup of the International Olympiad in the direction of "Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation" became the team of BSTUnamed after V.G. Shukhov.
