Governor Yevgeny Savchenko visited the Technological Research and Education Center
The head of the region got acquainted with the infrastructure of the center, the main areas of work and watched the students study.
The work was in full swing in the classrooms: students processed the details, developed racing race cars, and programmed robots. It is important to note that all classes Shukhov students are held in a renovated new building. It is located in the regional center at the address: 53, Gubkina Street. It looks innovative: spacious rooms for workshops where equipment is free, the latest technology and modernly designed audiences.
A delegation of the administration of Belgorod and the regional government headed by Governor Yevgeny Savchenko met the new infrastructure of the organization. On the work of the Scientific and Educational Center of the BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov told rector Sergei Glagolev.
The guests walked through the classrooms, where students take theoretical classes, the design department and the laboratory of high-speed cars. We also visited the educational and productive section of metal products, where the procuring, metalworking and welding stages of work take place. In the center there is a laboratory of mobile robots, where you can see the development of children of different formats: their projects and fly, and travel on the ground, carrying out different goals. Also, the governor visited the training and production laboratory engineering technology.
Speaking about mechanical engineering, Sergey Glagolev noted that a lot of attention and interest of students are directed to racing race cars. The team of the flagship university Shukhov Racing Team is in the top 500 best teams in the world, winning prizes at Formula Student class competitions. Here in college, students develop solutions for SRT race cars.
Also during the visit, Governor Yevgeny Savchenko familiarized himself with the training workshops of the Belgorod Institute of Art and Culture.
