Student of BSTU named after V.G.Shukhov - the winner of the Olympiad in electric power industry

The All-Russian Student Olympiad "Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering" was held in Kazan. The team of the flagship university took the third place, and the student Nikita Lavrinenko became the winner in the individual competition.

The Power Industry Olympiad is a multidisciplinary theoretical competition among 4-year undergraduate students enrolled in the “Power and Electrical Engineering” direction. The competition includes four disciplines:

- "Electrical and electronic devices";

- "Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering";

- "Electric cars";

- “Power supply”.

 

Eighteen leading technical universities of Russia brought their students to the final stage of the Olympiad in Kazan. The total number of participants was 84 people. These are 19 teams.

 

BSTU them. V.G. Shukhov was represented by a team of fourth-year students consisting of Nikita Lavrinenko, Sergey Koryakin, Elizaveta Makeeva, Valery Chuiko, under the guidance of Vladimir Sotnikov, a professor at the Department of Electric Power Industry and Automatics.

 

The tasks at the Olympiad implied the solution of theoretical problems and test tasks. The results were summed up in personal and team standings.

At the All-Russian Olympiad team BSTU. Shukhov took the third place, and in the individual competition Nikita Lavrinenko became the winner.

The second place was taken by the student of Kazan State Energy University Roman Spiridonov. Bronze was awarded to Vadim Rafikov, a student at Ivanovo State Energy University.
