Rector of the University presented a project to create a center of agro-industrial engineering
Sergei Glagolev met with Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Alexei Medvedev during his working visit to the Belgorod region.
The rector of the support university became one of the speakers at the round table dedicated to the creation in the region of the scientific and educational center “Innovative solutions in the agro-industrial complex”. Belgorod region is among the three pilot subjects, where they will create RECs. The region has the necessary potential, which also provides university science.
In his speech, the rector of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov told about the scientific potential of the supporting university and possible projects for the future scientific and educational center: “BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov today is one of the leading technological universities in Russia. We already have several engineering centers that have proven their effectiveness. The creation of an agro-industrial engineering center and the development of end-to-end technologies in the agro-industrial sector, at the university or at the inter-university level, will effectively solve the three-pronged task: develop technologies, design modern industrial and automated complexes, prepare high-tech personnel.
The center is called upon to provide engineering support for the majority of projects being created by the REC. At the same time, leading IT developers and manufacturers of technological equipment will provide advisory, personnel, and informational support to the project. ”
Sergey Glagolev also mentioned that, in addition to the key projects of the REC, the supporting university also has its own innovative technological projects. Among them are automation and dispatching of processes in the agro-industrial complex, hardware-software complexes allowing to solve part of the tasks of the integrated project “Smart Agriculture”, the synthesis of organic metal compounds for complex feed additives and veterinary drugs and others.
It should be noted that in addition to the Deputy Minister, rectors of Belgorod universities and heads of agro-industrial enterprises, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration for Science and Education Policy Elena Nechayeva and the Governor of Belgorod Region Yevgeny Savchenko took part in the round table meeting. He noted the importance of the event, the scale and fatefulness of the opening of a scientific and educational center of such a profile in the Belgorod region.
