The university is increasing cooperation with Sudan
Vice-Rector in International affairs of flagship University – BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov - Ruslan Lesovik presented the university at the celebration of the 63rd anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Sudan (East Africa).
The Vice-Rector took part in the celebrations at the invitation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sudan in Russia, his Excellency Mr. Nader Yusuf Eltayeb Babiker.
R. Lesovik on behalf of the rector of the university professor Sergey Glagolev conveyed congratulations on the occasion of the national holiday.
Recall that the BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov actively cooperates with the East African state. For example, a group of students from Sudan interned at BSTU and repeatedly held forums with the participation of the head of the Sudan’s diplomatic department in Russia.
We also note that Ambassador Nader Yusuf Eltayeb Babiker and the rector of the University of Khartoum, Professor Suleiman Ahmed Mohammed has repeatedly visited BSTU named after after V.G. Shukhov. To date, a memorandum of cooperation has been concluded with the University of Khartoum, an international project is being discussed, aimed at closer approximation of the cities of Khartoum and Belgorod.
Reference: Nowadays at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov currently trained 1,800 foreign students from 67 countries. Particular attention is paid to training programs in English, in which more than 200 students are enrolled. Successfully passes the activity in the field of academic mobility. Joint academic, scientific and cultural programs are being actively implemented with Serbia, Morocco, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, and Egypt. In general, more than 300 people a year take part in academic mobility programs.
