Engineering and experimental center of high-tech construction plan to create in BSTU
Flagship University of Belgorod Region BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov plans in 2019 to create an engineering and experimental center for high-tech construction.
The center will be equipped with innovative laboratories, information modeling, unique test equipment (effect of virtual presence and augmented reality), laboratories of artificial intelligence, robotic Internet systems and big data, hardware and software systems for effective training in present and future technologies.
The divisions of the center will provide a research base for the development of modern digital and additive-modular (3D modeling) technologies, carry out advanced professional training and retraining of the regional personnel reserve.
The university successfully operates a high-tech center in which several digital modeling laboratories have been established in the sector of construction and operation of buildings, structures, engineering and transport systems: BIM, virtual and augmented realities, artificial intelligence and neural networks. They are equipped with high-performance computing, modeling power and unique equipment of high-precision spatial scanning of real-world objects.
