BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov - among the most sought-after universities in Russia
The base university of the Belgorod region annually takes confident positions in various ratings. On the eve of the new year, the project “Russia Today” MIA “Social Navigator” presented the “Rating of universities in the Russian Federation in demand”, built on data from 82 subjects of the Russian Federation.
The rating includes 444 state, departmental, municipal and private universities, providing data for 2018. The universities were ranked by experts, based on the relevance of graduates to employers, as well as a number of criteria, such as recognition of scientific activity or a focus on the real economy.
BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov was in the list of the most popular engineering universities, taking the 24th position. It is worth noting that the share of graduates who have been assigned to work at “Technologist” is 97.5%, and the citation index for the work of employees of the organization is 17. These figures are the highest among universities in the Belgorod Region.
In total, the ranking includes 126 engineering, 87 classical, 56 agricultural, 68 humanitarian, 48 medical and 59 administrative universities. The best in this classification were the National Research Nuclear University, Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
The most popular are graduates of engineering and agricultural universities. The least demanded by employers are graduates of universities in the sphere of management - an average of about 26%.
