Allain Dorizon told about French Education System

The Rector of Graduate Engineering School in Ales Alain Dorizon, spoke about the education system in France and in the School he represents. In particular, he said the following: "Our school does not provide a bachelor's degree, but only a Master's degree. As to admission to PhD studies the candidate should have a master's degree.

 

Answering the question concerning the employment of his School in France, Alain Dorizon said that 98% of the graduates find a job within 3 months after graduation. The high visitor also said that his personal experience allows to assume, that many foreign graduates tend to stay in France and work for 2-3 years to get closer acquaintance with the country and gain experience. After that, as a rule, they come back to their homeland, where they become more competitive, due to the advantage of a good command of French.

Speaking about students scholarships, the French representative said that 48% of French students receive social scholarship, which depends on their parents' income. Social scholarship is not paid to overseas students, however the School tries in every way to help such students to finds ways of support, applying to a variety of funding sources. According to Alain Dorizon French students stay at the Graduate School from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. 40% of time are academic classes and 30% are intended for project work.

The guest also stressed with satisfaction: "Our students are not only good professionals, but we make efforts to make them engaged in managing activities”.
