Ice rink opened on campus
Free ice rink for students, youth, citizens earned on the campus of the flagship university – BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the administration, teachers, university staff, students of "Technologist", students of the preparatory faculty for foreign citizens.
The rector of the university Professor Sergey Glagolev opened the rink. He noted that the university gives everyone the opportunity to go in for sports, to diversify their leisure time with winter sports, like hockey, skating. “You should definitely shake yourself physically to be healthy morally,” the rector quoted the words of the great Russian writer Lev Tolstoy and wished everyone a good mood and excellent physical shape.
The congratulations and wishes were joined by the head of the department of physical culture and sports of Belgorod Mikhail Noskov, the chief engineer of the university Georgy Golikov, the head of the department of physical education and sport of the university Sergey Kramskoy.
The audience was pleased with the performance of young athletes, students of the junior school of the Olympic reserve in winter sports: figure skaters Ekaterina Bukhtiyarova and Sofia Ovsyannikova. As well as hockey players from the White Tigers team. The student palace of culture of the university provided assistance in organizing the event.
