Three years ago in BSTUnamed after V.G. Shukhov launched a large-scale long-term project " Successful Shukhov graduates”.
One of the key goals of such a career-guidance project is to familiarize Technolog students with university graduates who are under 35 years old and who have achieved career success in a relatively short period of time after graduation from the university and can share their experience of success. Thus, representatives of Belenergomash - BZEM, EFKO, Paints KVIL, IDGC of Center - Belgorodenergo, Borisov Bridge Metal Structures Plant, willingly participate in the project. V.A. “The project is designed to increase the activity of students in the framework of internships, internships at work and subsequent employment, where our graduates act as mentors. Shukhov mentors help students adapt to the working environment, introduce them to the corporate culture that has developed in organizations. Thus, the participants of the project “Successful Shukhov graduates” are for future graduates the vocational guidance bridge between the university and enterprises, ”said Yuri Buryak, director of the center for professional adaptation and employment of students.

Students meet with graduates directly during excursions at enterprises, production sites. “Successful Shukhov graduates” take part in job fairs and company presentations at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, become the leaders of internships and internships for students, advise students in the preparation of graduation and course projects. Of the more than 150 university career events held annually, over 90% are graduates.
