Representatives of BSTU named after V.G .Shukhov took part in the forum of graduates of Soviet and Russian universities
The X Forum of graduates of Soviet and Russian universities took place in Cairo. The flagship university of the Belgorod region was represented by Vice-Rector in International Affairs prof. Ruslan Lesovik and Deputy head of the Center for International Education and Cooperation prof. Yaser Allakham.
The forum held a meeting with the Minister of Higher Education of Egypt, where they discussed issues of training Egyptian citizens at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov and the quality of Russian education.
Representatives of the university met with the rectors of universities in Egypt, visited Cairo University and the university partner Damanhur. During the visit, they discussed the possibility of publishing Russian scientists in the journal of the Cairo University, visited the department, where Russian language classes for staff and teachers at Damanhur University will be held.
At a meeting with the Ambassador of Russia in Egypt, they discussed the issue of facilitating the procedure for obtaining visas for foreign students who are studying at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. Nowadays, about 200 Egyptian citizens study at BSTU.
Deputy Director of the Center for International Education and Cooperation, Dr. Yaser Allakham was awarded a diploma of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for fruitful work and personal contribution to the development of cooperation with Russia, promotion of the Russian language and Russian culture. Also, the doctors of Allah appointed the chairman of the foreign relations of the union of Arab graduates.
