Interuniversity Mathematical Olympiad was held at the flagship university

On the 24th of  November , the second Interuniversity Mathematics Olympiad was held on the basis of the flagship  university of the Belgorod region, in which students of the 1-2 courses from BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov,  Belgorod State University and BelSAU named after V.Ya. Gorina were participated.

Objectives and tasks of the Olympiad: identifying gifted students, mastering mathematics by solving non-standard problems of increased complexity, identifying and developing students' creative abilities, forming teams to participate in inter-regional and All-Russian Olympiads.

In the championship, the winners were students of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov:

 

1 course: Georgy Pogosyan (1st place), Oleg Mishenin (2nd place), Evgeny Medvedev and Mikhail Pirnazarov (3rd place);

2 course: Nikolay Prokopenko (1st place), Alexander Taran (2nd place), Irina Statchenko (3rd place).

The list of winners also includes the students of the Belgorod State University: Ta Thi Anh Wan, N. Khachatryan, A. Podoinitsin, and a student A. Lukyanchenko from BelGAU named after V.Ya. Gorina.

The Organizing Committee and the Department of Higher Mathematics thank students participating in the Olympiad, heads of partner universities for supporting talented youth. Special thanks to the students-volunteers of the Institute of Economics and Management (gr. M-21) of the BSTU. Named after V.G. Shukhov.
