Gold medal in judo in the Championship of Russia - a student of the university
The Russian Judo Championship among juniors (under 21) was held in Nazran (the Republic of Ingushetia). The flagship university at the competition was presented by a student Ekaterina Shagayeva. The girl won the Championship of the Central Federal District in October and received a ticket to the Championship of Russia.
“In the weight category of more than 78 kilograms, Catherine fought Anastasia Kholodilina from the Chelyabinsk region in the final. In the middle of the meeting, she held two sweeps for a few seconds. The second was crowned with success: Kholodilina fell on her back, and the referee awarded her a defeat. In the fall, Anastasia injured her leg and was unable to take part in the award ceremony, ”said Sergey Kramskoy, head of the department of physical education and sports, honored coach of Russia.
“This is a sport, injuries happen. I want Anastasia to be all right. I personally was pleased to receive a medal from the hands of Olympic champion KhasanKhalmurzaev. This is a man whom the whole of Russia is proud of, an excellent example for young judo wrestlers, ”Ekaterina Shagayeva shared her impressions.
As noted at the department, Catherine became addicted to judo when she entered the university. Under the guidance of her coach - Honored Master of Sports of Russia Nikolai Kutergina, the athlete at the Championship completed the standard “Master of Sports of Russia in Judo”.
