University scientist discussed training issues in geology and mining
A meeting of the Council of the Federal Educational and Methodological Association (FUMO) in the system of higher education in an integrated group of specialties and areas of training "Applied Geology, Mining, Oil and Gas and Geodesy" was held at the Ural Mining University (UMU).
BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov at the event was presented by Associate Professor of the Department of Mechanical Equipment, Head of the Mining Section Viktor Dmitrienko.
The event was attended by over 60 representatives from more than 40 universities in Russia. On the agenda, the participants addressed issues of training in the field of Applied Geology, Mining, Oil and Gas and Geodesy, the development of the Olympiad movement “I am a Professional” and issues related to state accreditation of educational programs.
The Olympic movement “I am a professional” as of November 21 collected 450 thousand applications from 80 regions of the country, and about 3,700 students were registered for the “Mining” direction.
Rector of the USSU, Alexei Dushin, briefly outlined the formulation of the educational process, the employment of graduates and the introduction of university research into production.
Further, the meeting participants were familiarized with model violations detected by experts during the procedure of state accreditation of educational programs, told about the organization of the examination of educational publications in FUMO.
