Students visited architectural objects of engineer Shukhov
From 14-16 of September a group of undergraduate and graduate students of the Department of Examination and Real Estate Management of the BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, under the guidance of teachers I. Ursu, M. Krutilova, P. Davydenko went to Moscow to get acquainted with the heritage of engineer V.G. Shukhov. The excursion was timed to coincide with the 165th anniversary of the outstanding academician, whose name is supported by the university of Belgorod region.
Students participated in technical seminars of the leading management companies "Moscow City", visited the excursion "Moscow through the eyes of an engineer", made a technical tour of the Grand Sports Arena of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex.
Getting to Moscow from students began with the underground. The leaders of the group told the students the history of the most famous Moscow stations. On the first day, the excursionists visited the museum of the international business center "Moscow City", located on the 56th floor of the tower "Empire", from where it opens an amazing view of Moscow and its main architectural sites. Lifting the building is now not just a way to move, but a real flight at an altitude of 215 meters with virtual reality glasses is the most interesting art project "Looking at Moscow through the eyes of Icarus".
A technical seminar was organized and conducted for the students with representatives of the company "City". Leading experts shared their experience in managing skyscrapers, peculiarities of monitoring the technical operation of engineering networks and the adjacent territory.
During the tour of the Stalin skyscrapers, the children learned about the peculiarities of the technology of their erection, how the spire at the Foreign Ministry was being completed, and got acquainted with the infrastructure of the main building of the Moscow State University. Then the students climbed to the observation deck of the hotel "Ukraine" and admired the opening views of the center of Moscow.
The program of the excursion included such Shukhov objects as: the Kievskiy railway station landing stage - arch construction in the train arrival zone (it was a high-tech building for its time); a monument of architecture - the Shukhov television tower (Shabolovo television tower), built according to the project of an engineer in 1920-1922; a bronze monument to Vladimir Shukhov, installed at the end of Sretensky Boulevard. We examined the mesh design of the cover of the Main Department Store (GUM), the basis of which is a steel frame made of metal rods. More than 800 000 kg of metal were used for the construction of the frame. But, despite such impressive figures, the semicircular openwork roof seems light and refined.
Moscow autumn allowed the people of Belgorod to enjoy the beauty of the park of cultural rest "Zaryadye". This large-scale project to create a unique public space near the Kremlin walls has become the largest park area for recreation (10.2 hectares), cultural leisure and entertainment for children and adults. Also there was no less spectacular and nocturnal excursion.
On the last day of their stay in the capital, students visited the large sports arena of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex, which delighted everyone. One of the oldest sports complexes of the country was founded in 1956. The students were told not only how to manage the largest stadium in the country, but also how much it costs to rent, how the last reconstruction of the object was carried out and what its cost, and many other information about the sports facility. Admire the breathtaking panoramic view of the city, the guys were able to see the Ostankino TV tower.
During the tour the students were enriched with new engineering and technical knowledge in the field of construction and property management, charged with positive emotions before the new school year.
