International plein air stars at flagship university
On the 18th of September, an international plein-air on painting "Golden Autumn in Belgorod region" was launched on the territory of the flagship university of the region with the participation of famous artists and teachers of fine arts from Egypt, Palestine, Morocco and Syria.
Traditionally, the guests laid flowers at the monument to V.G. Shukhov, got acquainted with the campus of the university, visited the museum and exhibition complex.
The ceremonial meeting was attended by the rector of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov S.Glagolev, President of the University Anatoly Gridchin, Vice-Rector for International Activities Ruslan Lesovik, Vice-Rector for Cultural and Educational Work Irina Avilova, Deputy Head of the Department for Internal and Personnel Policy of the Belgorod Region Konstantin Kurgansky, staff, teachers and students of the University.
The meeting was opened by the rector Sergei Glagolev, noting that today's event is the result of cooperation with honorary professor of the university Usama El-Seroui, who has held several art exhibitions in the university in recent years.
The Chancellor of university said about international activity. Deputy Head of the Department of Internal and Personnel Policy of the region Konstantin Kurgansky noted the prestige and participation of the support university in international cooperation and wished the participants fruitful work.
Dr. Osama El-Seroui introduced foreign guests: Kadri Zuhdi is a lecturer at Jalil University (Israel); Nada Nabil Taha Elsonbati and Hanaa Saad Said Nasr - teachers of the Department of Arts at the Helwan University (Egypt); Belkadi Mustafa - President of the Union of Artists of Southern Morocco, a teacher of the Funti Institute; Mahdi Ali Salih is a teacher at Baghdad University (Iraq); Louzhaila Alassil is Professor of the Department of Fine Arts at the University of Damascus (Syria).
The Russian delegation is represented by Belgorod artists and teachers of the architectural and art studio "IMP-ART" at BSTU. V.G. Shukhova: Elena Korotun, Emma Tsibulnikova, Tatyana Reshetnyak and Yury Chernyshev.
The rector of the university Sergey Glagolev invited guests to participate in the project "65 good deeds", which is dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the foundation of the BSTU. V.G. Shukhov. The first such "business" was the signing of an agreement on cooperation with the rector of the private university of RANA (Kabul, Afghanistan) Mr. Naimi Shafiullah, who also took part in the open-air. The agreement involves the exchange of students and training programs, as well as joint research.
Within two weeks, artists will work on the territory of the university, in the city park of Victory, in Borisov district and Prokhorovka.
Masterclasses will be held on the territory of the University as part of the open air for students of the "Technologist" and Belgorod schoolchildren.
