Employees and teachers of the flagship university continue to work with talanred schoolchildren
Center for Pre-University Training BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov carries out long-term planned work with schoolchildren in the regions of the region. Since 2018, employees of the Department of Industrial Ecology of the University have joined the work with talanted children.
On the basis of Chernyanskaya secondary school No. 1 teachers work with schoolchildren on the project "Methods of waste processing, monitoring of water bodies and methods of cleaning, assessment of air quality" (supervisor - candidate of agricultural sciences, associate professor of the Department of Evgeny Pendyurin).
On the 8 of September in Shebekinsky district, the final stage of the contest "Sprouts of the Future" was held, organized by a group of companies "Rusagro". The contest was attended by the ninth-graders of Chernyanskaya secondary school No. 1 Maxim Shaporov and Alexander Manakov (head teacher of chemistry Galina Shaporova).
The purpose of the competition is to attract attention to innovations in the agro-industrial sphere, stimulate research activities and engineering and technical creativity of schoolchildren, socialize gifted and talented children and encourage their business activity.
The competition was held in the following areas:
- plant growing;
- animal husbandry;
- mechanization of agriculture;
- technology of production and processing of agricultural products.
The Expert Council highly appreciated the participants' performance and noted the practical importance of the research. The project of Chernyansky schoolchildren "Development of methods for processing the waste of the agro-industrial complex" Rusagro "took the 2 nd place following the results of the contest.
