«Technolog– Spartak» - silver medalist of the Russian Beach Handball Championship
The final of the Russian Beach Handball Championship among men's teams was held at the region's flagship university from 16 to 19 August.
The team "Technolog-Spartak" (Belgorod), Spartak-RIFI (Belgorod), Ekaterinodar (Krasnodar), Pavlovsky district, Yeisk district, Spartak (Cherkessk), KCRC team participated in the fourth, final round.
The team "Ekaterinodar", which retained the lead after three rounds of the championship of Russia, became the winner following the game.
It should be recalled that "Technolog-Spartak" from Belgorod defeated three teams from Krasnodar, their doubles ("Spartak-Reefs") and Circassian "Spartacus" in the first round. Belgorod team lost in the shootout in a match with the multiple champion of Russia and the owner of the European Champions Cup "Ekaterinodar".
On August 19, the teams met in the finals. "Technolog-Spartak" won the game, but they scored fewer points than "Ekaterinodar" in the total, so the Belgorod team took the 2nd place and got the silver of the championship. The team "Spartak" from Cherkessk took Bronze.
Head coach of the Russian men's national beach handball team Vladimir Poletayev and vice-president of Handball Federation of Krasnodar Region Vladimir Kalashnikov noted the high level of preparation and thanked the head coach of the Belgorod team Sergey Kramskoy for the excellent organization and holding of competitions on the territory of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.
