BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov entered the TOP-100 international rating of Webometrics
The flagship university entered the TOP-100 among Russian universities, having risen to 73rd place from 104, based on the results of the international ranking of Webometrics Ranking of World Universities.
BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov took 3580 place, improving its indicator by 1,412 positions compared to January 2018 in the general list.
Webometric university international rating assesses the presence of universities in the global Internet space. The results of the rating are published since 2004 twice a year (in January and July).
Also BSTU took 15th place among Russian universities in the ranking of Webometrics Top Universities by Google Scholar Citations, where the assessment of universities is based on the analysis of the citation of authors - university employees in the Google Scholar system.
The official profiles of universities around the world and 1 million personal pages of scientists in the Google Academy, affiliated with specific universities are assessed in this rating.
The position of the university determines the analysis of the citation of the TOP-10 of its scientists in Google Scholar. The measurement results are used to determine the criteria of "openness" at the Webometrics Ranking Web of Universities.
