The freshmen labor semester has started
Traditionally enrolled applicants undergo a two-week labor practice under the motto "Your house with your own hands" at the flagship university of the Belgorod region. A solemn meeting in honor of the opening of the labor semester took place on 7 August at the university square.
The meeting was attended by students, lecturers and university staff and representatives of the administration.
rector of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, Professor Sergey Glagolev, President of the university Anatoly Gridchin, First Vice-Rector Nikolay Shapovalov, Director of the Institute of power engineering, information technologies and management systems Alexander Belousov, Director of the Institute of architecture Vitaly Pertsev, Director of the Institute of Economics and Management Yury Doroshenko, Head of the housekeeping department Mikhail Baryshensky were the honorary guests of the rally.
Future freshmen gave a symbolic oath to actively participate in the life of the university, to preserve its traditions, to prove the high title of Shukhov student, and also received instructions and farewell from senior students.
The labor semester solves the problem of employment of young people, helps in acquiring the first skills of independent full-time work.
It is expected that about 1,5 thousand young people will be involved in this labor semester.
