Readers of the University took part in the contest «The World of Our Thoughts»
A traditional university competition of artistic word, «The World of Our Thoughts» was held at the Student Cultural Center on May 18.
More than 10 years, this competition brings together all those who are keen on Russian and foreign literature.
14 students from 6 institutes and Preparatory faculty for foreign citizens took part in the event. The participants read prose and poetic works, both contemporary authors and classics (Mikhail Lermontov, Maxim Gorky, Evgeni Evtushenko, Joseph Brodsky, Carlo Goldoni, William Shakespeare).
The expert jury, which included the head of the marketing department, professor, poetess Ekaterina Shetinina, head of the department of the university scientific and technical library Svetlana Lesovaya, writer, journalist, head of the Pushkin Palace Club of Russian Literature Lovers Stanislav Minakov, director of the Student Cultural Center Lyudmila Goncharova, evaluated the work of the participants.
Following the conclusion of the competition, the results were summed up.
The Grand Prix of the competition received the student of Institute of Economics and Management Yulia Shirina (group UP-31).
Student of Institute of power engineering, information technologies and management systems Maria Lukhanina (group IT-22) took the first place in the nomination «On the Heroes of Old Times ...», II place - Anastasiya Perervenko (Institute of architecture, group AR-11) and III place- Kirill Vikhrev (Institute of power engineering, information technologies and management systems, group ST-11).
Student of Institute of Technological Equipment and Machine Manufacturing Elena Goncharenko (group TM-13) and student of Transportation Technology Institute Andrey Ilenko (group ZhD-31) became the winners in the nomination «Sounding word». Andrey Berezkin (Construction Engineering Institute, group S-14), Nikolay Kukhar (Transportation Technology Institute, group ZhD-11) and Natalia Strizhekozina (Institute of Architecture, group АР-41) received the 2nd prize. Anastasia Maslennikova (Institute of power engineering, information technologies and management systems, group ST-21), Abdul Baset Mohammad (Preparatory faculty for foreign citizens) and Eugene Dubovik (Technological Equipment and Machine Manufacturing, group TM-21) took the 3rd place.
student of Institute of Technological Equipment and Machine Manufacturing Olesya Akinshina (group MOS-26) received a special jury prize «For talent and inspiration». student of Institute of Economics and Management Maxim Kondakov (group M-11) won the jury prize «For creative impulse».
All participants of the competition were awarded with diplomas and fiction books, which traditionally provided by the rector's office.
