BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov joined the All-Russian campaign «Bike2work»
Rector of the university professor Sergey Glagolev took part in this campaign. He completed a distance of 15 kilometers for 40 minutes: «I took a bicycle twice as long as a car, but at the same time I have benefited from this. I think that these 20 minutes made me feel healthy. Therefore, that’s why I encourage everyone to participate in this campaign».
The campaign «Bike2work» started today and would continue until May 25. It is held in Russia for the third time, and shows that riding a bicycle on daily activities can be easy and convenient, it does not require special clothing or training. This is not a bicycle parade, connected to a specific route and time. Participants just go about their own business. The campaign organizers carry out contests and make «energy points» in the city, the partners of the campaign give participants discounts and bonuses to motivate newcomers to go to work on a bicycle for the first time.
